Brown Spots, a portrait of Andy Warhol by Basquiat (1984). Lars Ulrich almost made me lose my interest in Basquiat, but luckily i was able to come to my senses. When a painting sells for $14 million it really does change everything. What it does not change, however, is the fact that Brown Spots is a fantastic painting & a fantastic concept. It's a shame Basquiat hasn't been here to continue his work, imagine all the stuff he'd have done from then (1988) until now! Live artists are better, as they are able to antagonize the poncy wankers that collect their work. Period. &, my son Henry's first word is quite possibly BANANA.
